Autowise V3: An autonomous vehicle sweeping roads in China

From Concept cars to Cornerstone vehicles, Autonomous vehicles are no longer science fiction cars. Today autonomous vehicles such as Autowise V3 are real and being tested on the same roads we roam. The race for intelligent vehicles has become massive and almost unbreathable.

Adding to the feather of self-driving cars, the Autowise V3 vehicle is ready to solve the problem of our environmental hiccups and offer whole-time solutions to municipal and sanitation departments. Yeah, you read it right – A Chinese intelligent car maker is ready to clean the roads.

Autowise.ai license

Autowise.ai, a Chinese startup confirmed that they were awarded a testing license for their V3 intelligent vehicle in Hangzhou in the last week. This remarkable milestone of the startup marks the significant approach in their autonomous sweeper vehicles and their use in keeping the cities clean.

Key pass-throughs

Autowise.ai’s V3 autonomous vehicle excelled in completing the 41 scenarios across 10 categories. The key things in the list are covering recognition, interaction with the public and traffic signals, obstacles. And V3 has achieved a 100% pass rate across all the tests.

Keeping information security at the core of its heart, Autowise has made a cakewalk on the information security front. Autowise V3 successfully passed vehicle to cloud communication, cloud system security, autonomous driving, safety, and component safety.

Understanding autonomous vehicle technology

Autonomous vehicles are built with a combination of sensors (like LiDAR, radar, and cameras) and AI-enabled software to detect objects, and signals to navigate roads and make driving decisions.

Why Autowise in Hangzhou?

The Chinese city of Hangzhou has a solid foundation in the intelligent vehicle industry. They began constructing its intelligent vehicle demonstration zone in 2015 and launched road testing for connected vehicles in 2018. Now, in 2024 Hangzhou city has started implementing autonomous vehicle testing, covering four (4) districts to eight (8) cities in a total of 3,474 square kilometers area. Autonomous and intelligent vehicles have to be tested as per the regulations applied in the city.

As per the report, Ai vehicle V3 underwent a comprehensive assessment in compliance with Hangzhou city’s regulations. The assessment includes intelligent driving performance, information security, operational plans, monitoring platform integration, and expert reviews.

Intelligence of Autowise V3 structure

Autowise V3 designed by Autowise.ai is an autonomous road sweeper manufactured with an intelligent central control panel. Comes with a 4 level autonomous driving system, hinge steering design, and a visualized sanitation system. Also, it has a large capacity water tank and trash tank which enables V3 sanitation vehicles to clean roads for a long time. This Chinese autonomous road sweeper can operate at 20 KMPH speed with 8 hours of battery life.
